Flame retardancy is a property of a material that indicates its resistance to combustion. Generally, flame retardant materials burn while in contact with a flame or other heat source, but extinguish themselves when removed from the heat source.
Flame retardant materials are often evaluated by the U.S. UL standards for plastics such as epoxy resins, and it is desirable to have “V-0,” which has a fast fire extinguishing rate.
Our UL Standard V-0 certified products are given flame retardant properties by adding various flame retardants in the resin, and we have a lineup of epoxy and urethane resin products that can be adapted to a variety of applications.
