Heat cycling is a test to evaluate the reliability of physical and mechanical properties against temperature changes by repeatedly heating and cooling materials.
By applying temperature changes and repeating the stresses of expansion and contraction, stress is generated in areas where dissimilar materials are joined due to differences in expansion rates, causing fatigue-like fractures such as peeling, cracking, and leakage of filler, which adversely affect product reliability.
This resistance to cracking and cracking caused by temperature changes is called “heat cycle resistance”.
This is especially important for automotive components that are expected to be used under a wide range of environmental temperatures, and we offer a lineup of epoxy resin and urethane resin products with high heat cycle resistance.
