Typically, several electrodes are placed at different spots on the body to get a comprehensive recording of the heart’s activity. These electrodes are secured to the skin with a special gel or adhesive to ensure a clear signal. Electrocardiograph electrodes are essential for healthcare professionals to assess heart health and play a crucial role in safe and accurate diagnosis.

Silver chloride electrodes are mainly used as the electrode elements. These electrodes are preferred because they have a lower polarization voltage compared to other types, making them more efficient at capturing the heart’s electrical signals from the skin’s surface.
